There are a thousand and one magazines in Africa, some published here, some published abroad. The main focus is always to educate, inform, entertain and celebrate people.
Here are some African Mags and their websites...
Ovation Magazine focuses mostly on celebrating African achievers. Full of colourful, exciting pictures. For more info go to www.ovationinternational.com

Essence Magazine is a bridal, Fashion and Lifestyle Magazine.


FHM (For Him Magazine) has a South African version


Rootz Magazine deals on African music and culture

African Soccer Magazine, strictly about sports in Africa

New African Magazine

Mimi Magazine is a fashion and lifestyle Magazine published in South Africa. The website is www.mimimagazine.com


Djembe Magazine has been published in Denmark since the Images of Africa festival in 1992. The magazine is the main source for information for those who want to know the goings-on in the African community. (In Denmark)

True Love Magazine is a lifestyle magazine that has a South and West African editions. The Magazine is probably Africa's version of Cosmopolitan Magazine.

I think the word "Africa's Best Magazine" is very ambigious. The reason is that the focus of these mag is very diverse. A magazine that focuses on entertainment cannot be awarded best magazine over others that focus on autombile or adult entertainment or current affairs. So it depends. Besides, most of these mags are regional.
