Lagos is now in big trouble because they will come over. Please, this should apply to Lagos too. The Authorities follow suit.

Why e be say 9ja dey always do things upside down. The same government that is making noise about unemployment is banning prostitution when they haven't done one thing to make them gainfully employed!

I think the govt is focusing on the wrong things. Prostitution is largely a means to an end. Just like Nikki rightfully pointed out, if nothing is being done about the fundamentals, things like prostitution arises. By the way, who is a prostitute anyway - the school teacher, who needs to catch up on a few bills because her salary is unsubstantial; the student who desires to stay in school, but cannot afford tuition this semester ... So really, they cant expect anyone to leave.

Please speak for yourselves. Maybe you are prostitutes but not everybody are prostitutes. @Udee: Prostitution is not largely a means to an end except if you choose to make it yours. There is dignity in labor. What is wrong in being content with what you earn and meet your needs one by one. What is wrong in working as a cleaner, sales representatives and so on when you do not have a job? It is about the mind and your values.

that is a seriously tall, skinny woman. and the govt thinks telling prostitutes to leave abuja is going to do what? is that going to stop the crime? if the prostitutes leave, wouldn't those same big boys who pay for their services go where the prostitutes are for their fix? the poor man might not be able to but those big boys will just fly them in and out.

see, this shows the mentalities of those in power. instead of the idiots creating jobs, social services for the people which will go far in combating crime and vice (prostitution), they want to sweep it under the rug so that their fabricated city can remain shining like sey all these foreigners they are trying to impress no get ashawos in their capital cities too.

ashawo for big cities, na today?

abeg make dem sharraaapppp......prostitution will never end. and those gals r going no where. if it wasnt for the national cake that is being shared in abj would prostitution be at the alarming rate it is at now? And how r they supposed to feed themselves?

Now are we talkin about the prostitutes that stand on the road or the executive ones that come from all the national universities on party invitations where they participate in orgies with those fat bellied, illiterate fools who call them selves senators and politicians.....KMT

Anything that leave negative impact on our children should be discouraged. I sincerely believe that govt. has done the right thing in this regard. Hope Lagos, Portharcout are not in trouble.

Ah! 9ja. I taya 4 dem.
So this is what govt is now looking at abi? Well it just goes to show that they don't have enough work to keep them busy.

They are busy trating the symptoms instead of the root cause.

Anyway sha, Ashewo no be work, na management.
