It’s good enough that they are rising in numbers. Economists and companies love dishing out statistics. What are they doing to improve their services and make calls cheaper? Not a whole lot i’m sure.

Good for their rising figures. But they should give back to the society.
see what Tmobile did. I mean it wasn't monetary but there was some kind of connection. These our GSM providers shouldn't just be bothered with recharge card, recharge card all the time.

Why do we Nigerians like companies to reduce tariffs? what has your govt done to encourage them to reduce the tariffs? do you know how much these guys spend to service the machinery of their network? the smallest network there spends at least N300m monthly on diesel and the likes, not to talk of security and yet pay huge amounts to the Govt as tax and NCC fees!
If we all make the govt improve on its fiscal responsibilty the coys will adjust their tariffs in line with the decreasing direct and incidental costs of remaining on air!

i bet its on the rise cos every tom is getting a phone n kids are getting one at an even younger age. All in all it means more money for them, so i hope they give bak by improving signal

mtn should wait with their nonsense. Others with better pricing are coming up...very soon mtn will only be used to receive calls.

i think there should be a total boycott of MTN and endorsing of more Nigerian-owned companies! i don't really fancy patronizing so many foreign products, while our own is just as good.

@Wunmi Vmobile is now Airtel. I still think airtel has the best tariff rates while Mtn is great for its BIS. Thank goodness GSM technology is penetrating deep. Although before we ask them to reduce tariffs we should ask the Govt to provide steady, constant electricity. However, if Airtel can do it, Mtn has no reason whatsoever for still being so expensive
