Have any of you as a black male tried to get a cab in DC ? I went to DC and in broad daylight the cabs were just driving past refusing to stop.
I even got caught in a storm/heavy rain.
I had to go to a hotel lobby and ask them to call a cab for me.
Later that evening I was out with a white lady and I did not even bother trying to hail a cab myself. I asked her to call the cab and then we would both get in.
When this is happening to you, you get angry. I even joked with the taxi drivers once I was in their cabs that if their president was on his own, he could not get a cab in Washington DC.
But although it can be humiliating and painful to have cabs drive past you, I understand why they do it. It is a shame.
This is the reason, because the African Americans have become so dysfunctional, violent and demonised that they pull a gun at the slightest issue.
Black people are doing this to themselves and then they complain about racism. May his soul rest in peace and the Lord be with his family.

I live in Maryland and DC is one of the most dangerous areas for anyone talk less of a cab driver at night. I know its too late, but he shouldn't have argued with them over 75 cents. You never know who's carrying a gun, and nothing is worth arguing over cos your life is more important. Even if you're riding a Bentley and they want it at gun point, you give it to them cos guess what? they don't get too far before the police catches up with them. Number one lesson in America... don't ever argue with anyone on the streets especially these young useless boys cos you never know who's carrying a gun. May his soul rest in peace!

Nigeria is no better and if this happened in Naija, we will criticize too. The point of the matter is, too many akatas are taking the lives of innocent people in the United States. I know of a promising young Naija man coming back from classes at night and got shot and killed by some useless akata mofos wsanting to rob him. Then you wonder why you have white flight and whites refusing to share a neighborhood with blacks. If that was a white american who shot and killed an akata taxi driver, the whole world will not hear word.
