Worker Pays Spiritualist N11m To Kill Chivita Boss...

A self acclaimed spiritualist, Adewale Salami, 35, has been arraigned before Oshodi Magistrate’s court, Lagos State, for allegedly defrauding a company worker, Yinka Kayode to the tune of N11 million on a false pretence of helping him to perform rituals to kill his employers so that he would take over the company.
Yinka who was a staff of Chivita Company Limited located at Ajao Estate, Lagos, reportedly approached Salami and asked him to perform some spiritual work so that he would terminate the lives of his employers and own the company. Salami promised to do so if he would pay the money.
Lol, some stories you hear eh. Continue reading...

Yinka reportedly went with the money to Aviation Estate, Mafoluku, Oshodi. He started paying him the money to the tune of N11 million.

After the payment, his employers did not die as Salami promised. Instead the company sacked him.

He went to Salami for refund of his money since he did not do what he asked him to do. Salami bolted with the money and left him to his fate.

He later realised that he had been duped by Salami and went to the police station. He reported that he was duped by Salami.

The police arrested Salami and charged him to court for stealing and obtaining under false pretence under section 419 and 390 of the criminal code 2003.

Part of the charge reads:” That you Adewale Salami on the same date, time and place did obtain the money from Yinka under false pretence that you will perform ritual for him to terminate the lives of his employers which was false”.

He pleaded not guilty.

The presiding Magistrate, Mrs. Osho Adebiyi granted him bail in the sum of N1 million with two sureties in like sum. The matter was adjourned to another date.

Err... Is that magistrate smoking firewood? An illegal contract is no contract under the law. The contract between yinka and the spiritualist is void ab initio. They shoulda both been arrested for conspiracy to commit murder.

How could this case have landed in court? The system is not there to help people achieve acts that are illegal. I'm suprised the idiot even has the guts to report to the police. It's like a drug addict calling cops cos the drug dealer did not deliver. Only in *NG* sha.

Errrr..... Forget the the babalawo and stafflawo, my question is HOW THE HELL DID THIS CASE EVEN MAKE IT TO COURT?! I'm not a lawyer but i know its not a valid case.

The fact that the staff could pay 11m to have someone KILLED is enough to land him in jail. Hiring boys to shooot his boss is a lot cheaper and if he's got that kind of money, what stops him from actually doing so.

Hmmm, dis our judiciary sha! I'm sure stafflawo has spread some cash around to police and judge.... What a joke!

Customary Courts don't have the jurisdiction over Capital offences like Murder.so its not possible for the magistrate court to entertain such suit,as you mentiioned.

Abi o anonymous March 15, 6:34pm, shallow thinking.
Priestess you are damn right.

Their is no record the spiritualist collected N11m from him though unless his bank account says otherwise.

Anonymous said...

So funny. However, @mista dammie, its not a murder case, nor is it conspiracy to commit murder. Its simple 419 as stated. Also, as regards d matter getting to court, it depends on the statements made by the jazzman wen he was apprehended. Dats y they tell u what u say can nd will b used against you. If he admitted to receiving money from d staff, then he can be charged.

By the way, this boss looks indian. Don't they knw indian jazz pass naija jazz by far? Or did they forget when india scored 99 goals in one football match?

so many loopholes in the story!

where and how a staff was able to get 11mila for such, when the wages are so poor! abi is he part of the management that chop everything?

I work for a distribution company that deals with many of CHI LTD products and, there is no way, the staff can have sure money unless through fraud!

CHI LTD, do maltreat their staff. Sometimes, they are slapped for any slight offense and no right thinking human being would think of taking the company from them when their are many foreigners working there! So they would leave their own kins man and put a black man on the seat of power?

Maybe he wanted him killed for a different reason, but not taking over his seat, which is so stupid!

CHI LTD, is a lousy company! So disorganized, that i hate doing business with them, but for the sake of my customers.

Is he not to be charged for attempted murder? and investigated for fraud? just don't get it!

Peeps. This P.M. news get as e be. The story no just gel at all. Babalawo, intent to commit murder, attempted murder case to be tried in a magistrate court? Complainant not arrested by police for attempting to kill? Chivita directors all keeping quiet over this matter? Haba, I know say people can be dumb, but this level?

@prof X, our law doesn't recognize juju nd rituals unless it results in an actual offence. Thus, d conspiracy 2 commit murder wnt stand.... He can howeva, b guilty of obtaining under false pretence.. Buh mumu pple lyk dis still exist 4 naija?? Choi, badt sharp guy.

Evil that men do in the office shall live after them. That guy don kolo finish. In my own opinion I feel his brain is not correct for him to think that he can take over a foreign company when the employer dies.

not suprised...dat is the kind of ambition most of ndi ofe mmanu have!..they just dont want the risk part of doing bussiness, its to use jazz to get promotion and reap where they did not sow!

Not so strange sha, some organisations have a diabolical way of disgracing their looters, Yinka' must have stolen from d Indian boss, who then decided to jazz and disgrace him publicly, making him waste the loot on a con man and coming out voluntarily and shamelessly to confess. Has he not tarnished his image? In some coys, looters waste their loot on terminal illness. Work towards having clean hands my dear and jazz without a cause shall not jazz u.
