Pics: Nigerian drug convict Daniel Enemuo, 5 others executed in Indonesia

Nigerian drug convict Daniel Enemuo and 5 other foreigners from Vietnam, Malawi, Brazil and Netherlands were executed in the early hours of this morning Sunday January 18th for drug offences.

The convicts, who were killed by firing squad, are the first people executed under new President Joko Widodo, who took office in October 2014. He signed off on the executions last month..

Brazil and the Netherlands have since recalled their ambassadors from Indonesia after the country defied their pleas and executed two of their citizens AFP reports. Brazilian Marco Archer Cardoso Moreira, was convicted of smuggling cocaine into Indonesia in 2004. Dutchman Ang Kiem Soei was arrested 8 years ago. Daniel Enemuo, 38, was also arrested in 2004

The others executed in the Boyolali district in central Java were Namaona Denis from Malawi; Indonesian woman, Rani Andriani, and Vietnamese woman Tran Thi Bich Hanh.

This Indonesians are serious. It's a way of putting an end to the crime so it has to be an execution penalty to chase this drug baron. That's when a country is bent on eliminating crime and creating change. Them drugs barons had better stop running home. Those white apes mean business

Unknown said...

He spent 11 years in jail, wasn't that punishment enough? Executing people for smuggling is rather harsh.

Anonymous said...

The pickings are slim if you move to Asia only to wind up a drug dealer. Indonesia is making victims of victims by killing the dealers, insignificant foot soldiers in a wider powerful network. They'd be going after the kingpins if they were serious about stamping out the drug trade in their country. Enemuo was replaced by another desperate being willing to do anything for money long before the bullets tore through his flesh. Poor guy. RIP.

I understand that both the Brazilian and Dutch government understood that Indonesia did what they had to do by the laws of their hand. However, you see what they did? They still went ahead to recall their ambassadors to Indonesia. Why? Because they want to show to Indonesia that they cannot be walked over and they would go far lengths to protect their citizens.

This our clueless government no go do anything...dem go jus dey there like mumu.

Malaysians and Indonesians are noted for their racism against foreigners. Some of these death row inmates were wrongly accused, and some do not even get fair trials. Once you are arrested for drugs, you must die! Innocent or guilty, i just don't know why foreigners go there in the first place.
They should live alone there in their poverty and their wickedness.
All those people who say they deserved it, have you thought about a situation where you've been wrongly accused for doing drugs, or like that american woman who just shared a cab with someone possessing drugs, just being at the wrong place at the wrong time, and you have to pay with your life.
I wonder what people see living amidst this racist asian monkeys.

execution is a new law that not an old law, it started October 2014.If Indonesians really want to be realistic, this new law is suppose to manifest any day after the law was approved by the house and it shouldn't affect old cases.
Between since 2004 and co are those years not enough, why would they go as far as killing them, Execution is never a law to me, those people can be alive yet regret their actions.

All this drug barons ,419, yahoo-yahoo etc that bring disgrace unto our great country Nigeria should be killed and their bodies left to the voltures. Our fellow Nigerians are victimized because of others foolishness. Any woman that does not love you or hid to your advance when you have nothing is not worth being around. I am a woman and I am not married but yet I am disgusted by men who can't explain their livelihood. So now Daniel carried the drugs for the sake of his family hasn't he left them alone to suffer. Nothing good comes out of trying to beat the system. Trust in God and work hard

Ese is absolutely right. I am sure malaysia wont do that to an american citizen. Besides this guy has been in jail for 10 years which is already enough punishment, and then you execute him after 10 years..Abeg even if hes not my brother the government should fight for him, its not about supporting crime its about justice and whats appropriate as punishment for a crime.

Anonymous said...

Drug offence is not good enough to get people executed that country is looking for trouble. Simply deport those citizens to thier coutries. And let them deal with their own pple however they choose. Drug offfence is "time in jail" not execution. Its not worth killing them. As most of u uninformed people are. Anyway our diplomatic arm wont do anything so why bother. You dont just kill another person's citizen just like that.

This country is something else! WHy snuff out lives over drug trafficking? Even capital punishment for murder is still debatable, how much more this? They're just evil.

Unknown said...

even though i condemn in the strongest term the young man's foray into drug trafficking but i equally blame my government for not doing enough to securing his release to serve his sentence here in Nigeria. If it were a U.S or British citizen, there is no how that they will execute them. Since Indonesia can do this not minding diplomatic incidences, i will strongly recommend that all illegal indonesians in the country be deported, those guilty of crimes in the country should be adequately punished and our Ambassador recalled and their Ambassador, sent home or queried.

100% of Nigerian drug dealers are IGBO, they should be described as biafran nationals.

Nigeria is not the poorest country on earth so no excuse for poverty and hunger.

These are greedy criminals going by the code of "get rich or die trying"

Igbo people are the most endangered species in Nigeria, the ones who escape Islamic terror end up getting killed for drugs abroad.

All Igbo people in Asian are drug dealers and should be rounded up on the streets and shot.

The ones walking the streets freely have not been caught for drugs yet.

Relatives and friends of 21 IGBO drug dealers in Indonesia who have been condemned to death, have marched to the Indonesia Embassy in Lagos to protest the death of the condemned Nigerians. According to them, about 2008 IGBOs have been killed so far in Indonesia and 21 are about to be executed too. They urged the Federal Government to intervene urgently to save the lives of their loved ones, adding that any delay to act could be dangerous.

4 IGBO drug dealers executed by firing squad recently:
1, Martin Anderson - an IGBO who had traveled to Indonesia on fake Ghana passport and incorrectly.identified as Ghanian.
2, Okwudili Oyatanze
3, Silvester Obiekwe Nwolise
4, Stephanus Jamiu Owolabi (He apprently used a mixed IGBO and Yoruba name on a fake ID, also had a fake EU passport with Raheem Agbaje.

Just confirmed, the Next batch of IGBO people to be executed by firing squad in Indonesia soon:

Kingsley Okonkwo
Michael Titus Igwe
Izuchukwu Ezioha
Ekperedike S. Olekama
Adam Wilson
Hilary K. Chinezie
Eugene Ape
Humprey Ejike
Okwudil Ayotaeze
Obinna Nwajiagu
Fredrick Luther ( Benjamin Obiora)
Sylvester Nwaolisa
Dennis Anumora
Ikenna Ezenweukwe.
Gabriel Nnadi - died in prison

Apart from the ones on death row, about 2008 IGBOS (excluding the ones killed recently) are said to have been executed in Indonesia since IGBOS started the DRUG trade there decades ago.

A death row filipino lady, Mary Jane Veloso whose case is causing international outcry was said to be a mule used by IGBO people, Donna Uche and Samuel EzeKalu.

According to Thai, Vietnam, Cambodian, Chinese, Malaysian, Indonesian police, Igbo people bearing Nigerian passports are a major source of drug trafficking in Asia and are now using local girls as mules to ferry drugs abroad. Nigerian passport holders are the subject of serious scrutiny and abuse by Asian police as a result of IGBO drug dealers and human traffickers. IGBO people are apparently single handedly making it impossible for Nigerians to holiday, travel freely and conduct business due to IGBO activities.
